Voice (V) Boards are pre-printed communication boards featuring either text or symbols. They were created by Tony Jones M.Ed., B.Ed.(Hons.), Cert.Ed.Man., Cert.Ed.Res., Cert.Ed., author of several very popular AAC vocabulary programmes.
There are presently 6 V Boards available. Each of the three word boards and three symbols V Boards contains a range of frequently used 'core' vocabulary that has been arranged by part of speech and colour coded (Fitzgerald key) for easy retrieval.
The three configurations presently available have grid size of 96 or 216 key locations. The V Boards are two sided (216) or 4 pages (96 and 96 Plus), with the total number of cells being 432 (216), 384 (96) and 624 (96 Plus).
If it is considered that the V Boards are not suitable for the particular needs of an individual(s) then it is possible to create your own V-Boards or Books using VoiceSymbol software (see related items below), which is sold separately. A simple spelling board is also available.
